When my life has been so brimming with good luck, good people and all of that, I sometimes felt at the brink of imminent change from this grace. There was a kind of fear behind my happiness because of course we all know, change is inevitable.
After suffering for three days with tragedy, struggling with confusion as to how I could ever get through it, I read this Krishnamurti post from a dear friend. Even though I teach yoga and have read his work and other yoga scholars words before, it took this great loss for me to really understand it. Wayne Dyer said something like this, “Happiness is not something that happens TO you, happiness is what YOU bring to life.”
Today, I will sing out with more happiness because I have had the courage to face the sting of deep sorrow.
