Greetings yogis!

As the song goes, “My bags are packed and I’m ready to go”…. we leave ttoday for a couple weeks to take care of some business in Costa Rica. But, not to worry, all will be moving along smoothly here in Boise whilst I’m gone. This email is a summary of what’s up. Also, remember, you can always go to the Schedule page, too.

  • May 16 – 17 Workshop will be held at two different studios (see flyers below). Some of you have attended our workshops at Boise River Yoga (created by Shanti grad Raelynn Grant and most of you have taken workshops and classes at Yoga Tree of Boise, created by Shanti grad, Jennifer Knight. Regular faculty members, Bill Dial, Jennifer and Kimberly will be teaching along with recent 300 hr grad, Mary Mitchell. I will not be back yet, but you’ll be in good hands with our Shanti teachers, including our newest staff member, Sven Brown. More on that below…
  • I have added Shanti grad and 300hr student, Sven Brown, to our staff to help with teaching, facilitating workshops and providing mentoring to current students. I am especially excited that he would like to set up weekly classes (& online) to assist you as you move through your Shanti journey. As you might know, we have done this in the past, especially the online weekly meet-ups during Covid. But, with the addition of Sven, we’ll be able to bring this feature back. Please reach out to me and Sven if you have ideas on this additional opportunity for support (including days or times that work best for you).
  • Another learning opportunity! Many of you have already met Jarrett Phipps, but you may not know about the Christina Phipps Foundation that her family created to continue the work of their beloved sister and daughter. You can learn more and even apply for their June zoom training now at https://www.christinaphippsfoundation.com/teacher-training You can talk with me about how you can use these hours for Shanti certification.
  • Mom Energy Video! Click here to watch a video I did about 5 years ago which links Mother’s Day to yoga’s perspective on “mom energy”. I’ll also have a Mother’s Day meditation and playlist for you soon:-)
  • And….last but not least, please welcome our new students Gara McCutchen from Emmett and  John Hall from Idaho City!!!

AND, Happy First Mother’s Day to my sweet daughter-in-law, Kate Sullivan Murphy!!!!

Hope to hear from you before I leave about these thoughts and have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
